    7 Things I Learned About Being a Stay-at-home Mom

As a woman in her late twenties, I was brought up knowing that I would go to a four-year college right after high school. After that, I ended up going for my master’s while building my career as a state employee. I didn’t truly know what I wanted to do, but I knew that I needed to put in the work to really get far in this life. During my focus building myself professionally, my husband and I also decided to grow our family. While we struggled for some time to make this dream come true, the moment that we did find out we were expecting, my whole focus changed.…

    Blogmas Update

The blogmas challenge is nearly completed! My goal was to post everyday from December 1st up to December 25th and while I still have a couple more days before this challenge is finished, I wanted to take some time to reflect on my posts up to this point. Reflecting on 2018

As the year draws closer and closer to the end with each passing day, I can’t help but to review how much my life and my world have changed in 2018. Being Mommy

The day our little one came into this world is a day our lives changed more than we could have ever imagined. Heck, the moment we found out we were expecting was a life changing moment! All the words in the world could not begin to describe the love I have for our baby boy and the joy I feel when I see his smile lighting up the room. It’s the best feeling holding someone so small and innocent while knowing that they are yours to cherish. With all this love, there also comes great challenges being a mommy. There’s the constant self doubt if you’re making the right decision…

    The Struggle

Today was a test of my patience and abilities as I learn to understand the responsibilities of my new position. I don’t want to dwell on negativity, but this day impacted me so much that I felt the need to journal about it and decide what to do to turn the day around. Recently, my position at work changed and it was a decision that I did not agree with. I challenged the decision (respectfully, of course), but in the end, I was moved to a different position. Change can be a good thing, but I am a stubborn person and I have this plan in my mind that I…
