    Reflecting on 2018

As the year draws closer and closer to the end with each passing day, I can’t help but to review how much my life and my world have changed in 2018. While choices made were difficult and emotional, I am who I am today because of this year and what I have learned the last 11 months and three weeks. At the beginning of the year, my little family of three was living in Austin, TX. We made the tough choice to leave the city we had called home for nearly five years to move closer to family in Northern California. To this day, I still miss the Tex-Mex, HEB…

    Christmas Lights through Baby’s Eyes

My husband is super thoughtful, even on the days when it seems like we aren’t seeing eye to eye. Today I came home from work and went about our evening routine with getting the baby some dinner, reading to him, and playing a little before getting ready for bed. Christmas Movies

Christmas movies are one of my favorite ways to celebrate the holiday season! My Favorite Time of the Year

You all already know the popular saying that this time of the year is “the most wonderful time of the year.” I recently met with a friend of mine over dinner and drinks and learned that she can’t wait until the holidays are over and this made me a little sad inside. For her, this time of year brought the realization that people she loved where no longer walking the Earth and things have drastically changed for the holiday season for her family since those passings. While I understand that there are MANY people out there who can’t stand the holiday time (and I whole heartedly acknowledge how they feel),…

    Being Mommy

The day our little one came into this world is a day our lives changed more than we could have ever imagined. Heck, the moment we found out we were expecting was a life changing moment! All the words in the world could not begin to describe the love I have for our baby boy and the joy I feel when I see his smile lighting up the room. It’s the best feeling holding someone so small and innocent while knowing that they are yours to cherish. With all this love, there also comes great challenges being a mommy. There’s the constant self doubt if you’re making the right decision…
