A Day in the Life of a Daycare Provider

Recently, I took to Facebook posting that I should make a blog post about “a day in the life of a daycare provider” because there is no way that I could make up some of the things I see happening on a daily basis. I received quite a bit of comical reactions to my post and therefore, I was inspired to actually follow through with my writing prompt! Preface- Because you have to understand where I’m coming from in order to comprehend the comedy behind it all: I work as daycare teacher for the toddler age group of 18 to 24 months old. I am the late shift teacher, meaning…

    Blogmas Update

The blogmas challenge is nearly completed! My goal was to post everyday from December 1st up to December 25th and while I still have a couple more days before this challenge is finished, I wanted to take some time to reflect on my posts up to this point. So this post should be post #23 (because today is the 23rd of December), but actually it is post #13. I fell off my blogmas wagon a couple of days here and there due to a severe illness my son was suffering from. Reflecting on 2018

As the year draws closer and closer to the end with each passing day, I can’t help but to review how much my life and my world have changed in 2018. Pictures with Santa

When picturing the day that I would become a mom, I often pictured what it would be like around the holiday season with kids; the baking traditions, opening gifts on Christmas morning, taking pictures with Santa, etc. These were such wonderful fantasies of mine and now I’m finally able to start indulging in them as we have a one year old who will begin to see the magic of Christmas! Today, we attempted pictures with Santa and boy, that was not the picture I had envisioned for our Christmas card! My son was not having any of it. He began crying pretty immediate after being placed on Santa’s lap and…

    Christmas Movies

Christmas movies are one of my favorite ways to celebrate the holiday season! This might sound a little cynical, but I love the fact that there is always some kind of issue that occurs in a Christmas movie. This makes me feel like no matter how perfect we want our Christmas to be each year, it’s okay if there are some bumps in the road. In the end, Christmas is about the people you get to spend time with, right? When I watch Christmas movies, there are three movies that are a MUST watch each year in my family. Christmas with the Kranks

This movie is about a family…
