    Almost Time

We are less than two weeks away from our due date and finally meeting baby is about the only thing I can think about all day. I’ve added a little insomnia to my routine which has been less than pleasant, especially since I am still working and am basically exhausted all day. I truly think that the insomnia might just be due to having to use the restroom ALL.THE.TIME. So quite literally, everything I do all day and night revolves around this belly and the growing, athletic baby inside. He is definitely going to be doing some amazing things once he finally enters this world! I have to admit, the…

    Soap Experiment

While being sick this entire week with a head cold plus already struggling to breathe at 36 weeks pregnant, I have participated in some rest and recuperation time and took advantage of lounging around while going through new pins on Pinterest. As I mentioned in my previous post, Hanging Hamper, I have been searching for ways to cut back on costs for things we need/use around our home and put those funds towards baby’s needs. Pinterest did not disappoint! It amazes me how fast time flies by when you’re looking through all the wonderful ideas out there. Within the last few days, I have found a variety of projects that…

    Hanging Hamper

This week has kicked in a little bit of the nesting feeling for me. I began doing baby’s laundry to prep the hospital bag. It was difficult to know which clothes to wash since we have a variety of sizes from newborn to 12 month old clothing. Obviously, he won’t be using the 12 month clothing anytime soon so those items stayed at the back of the closet. But still, not knowing how big/small he will be when he is born can make the clothing dilemma much more challenging. Do we only wash the newborn sizes? What if he’s too big for those? Should we also wash the 0-3 month…

    The Babymoon

These last couple of weeks have been extremely busy and I’m thankful that tonight I am able to put my feet up and just write away. We spent a week in Disney World for our babymoon, took our maternity pictures, went to our prenatal appointments, and have finally settled back into our “reality.” Although it has felt like a non-stop ride, it has been a memorable couple of weeks and exactly what we needed to reconnect before baby makes his grand entrance. Before our trip to Disney World, we had a prenatal visit that ended well and sent me off with my doctor note in hand clearing me for travel.…

    The Project

As if I’m not keeping myself busy enough with all the baby prep, work changes, babymoon planning, and everything else life has to offer, I decided to indulge in a fairly large DIY project over the weekend. We have been on the hunt for a rocking chair for when little man arrives and they have all been so over the top expensive that we just couldn’t justify paying that price for one item when we could use the money for several other items that we may need for baby. So, during a little outing to our local thrift store, I scored a used cream colored glider rocking chair with ottoman…
